Engylskye Nubians

                   Located in Northern California, Engylskye is the herd name of the Nubians living at Angel Sprout Farm. My small herd of Nubians are a 4-H project I started close to four years ago. I travel with my family to several shows each year, meeting lots of wonderful people in the  goat world and learning a lot. I started out with a single week old Nubian doe kid from Karen Smith of Wingwood Farm. A year later I bought a small spotted doe from Texas. This year was the first year any of my goats ever kidded, and though I ended up with four bucks and one doe, the freshening's went without a hitch and everyone was healthy and happy. The herd has really taken off this year, expanding greatly. Hopefully Engylskye nubians will continue to flourish as we work on improving the the breed and raising happy healthy nubians.

        This year I traveled down to the 2009 ADGA Nationals in Sacramento California with Karen Smith. Though I did not take any goats I participated in the youth events and helped Karen care, prep, and show the goats. It was an amazing learning experience. I've never seen so many goats all in one place in my life!  I had the opportunity of meeting so many new and wonderful people. I learned a lot and loved every minute of it, despite the heat and the sweat.
